I know I have mentioned this before in FB - Awesomest Legendary Eating Club's review and raved about the food at Zion Road Riverside Food Centre, but I must exclaim again how awesome the char kway teow is!ieatishootipost's review
No. 18's CKT is the best one I've had so far, not that I have tried that many a CKT before, but there's something special abt it. It's a little sweet, a little savoury, filled with the pleasant 'wok hei' taste and it is just that damn flavourful!
I used to avoid eating CKT as I've had bad ones which were too dry, noodles were too hard, or just plain bad. Also, it's not that good for health too. I decided to give this CKT a try late last year and really, this is the best I have ever tried in my life. Any other recommendations, please share! I'm back on the CKT track man! Rating: 9/10
Props to the Noo Cheng Adam Road Prawn Noodle also, which has such a flavourful soup, but sadly, the prawns could be fresher. I'm suspecting that they do not use "live prawns", and the freshness showed. Rating: 7.5/10
Elayne and I had this on Friday and we savoured every bit of the 2 dishes we had, washed down by an okay tasting bowl of Cheng Tng from the "House of Desserts" stall and a scoop of Chendol ice-cream from Island Creamery @ Great World City.
Great food with great value! :)
