Achy Breaky Body

I surprise myself constantly. Before last evening's gym session, the previous session was 2 weeks ago, and to my delight, I'm not aching that much from what I thought to be a strenuous workout! I did cut down on running as Clementi gym suddenly decided to do away with some of the treadmills and curiously, the remaining treadmills were occupied throughout the time I was there.

Anyway, IPPT is just 5 days away! I need to get my 2.4 runs done and recover by then! That means I have to not exert myself too much during this Sunday's badminton practice!

Also, I have always wanted to do this!

Top 10 Gym Peeves!

1) People who go to the gym purely to chat and lounge around the stations. I mean, go to the coffeeshop if you wanna catch up and chat rite?

2) People who pose and preen infront of the mirror more than they workout. Like, can people be more narcissistic?

3) People who take your dumbbells without first asking when you are obviously using it.

4) People who steal your station when obviously your towel is resting on it. I mean sharing is obviously fine, but it's quite upsetting when u set ur particular settings/weights (esp. on the Smith Bench) and some idiot comes along and decides to change everything and use without first asking.

5) Station hoggers obviously. Some gym go-ers always treat the public gym as their personal one.

6) People who take 10 different sets of dumbbells and surround themselves with them. Messy and inconsiderate.

7) People who play around and make loads of noise in the gym. There's always a particular group at Clementi gym doing that. Wrestling and shouting all over the place. A big nuisance. Thankfully I always listen to my ipod shuffle when I'm there.

8) People who bang and slam the weights and make all sorts of undesirable grunting sounds. Yes, we all can see that you can carry a ton of weight, let's just not have to listen to it yes?

9) Dirty and smelly people. I mean sweat odour is unavoidable. But wearing a smelly singlet even before your gym session begins is just horrible.

10) People hovering around you when you have obviously told them "3 sets left" and they think they will magically make you work faster if they stood around and watched your every move. Come on! Give me some space and let me work out!
